7 Rivers LGBTQ's Shannon Raney previews Pride Pageant and Pride in the Park

Shannon Raney in studio to tell us about the back-to-back parties from the 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection in La Crosse this weekend, beginning with the La Crosse Pride Pageant on Friday night and Pride in the Park on Saturday.  Raney is in her second year as executive director of 7 Rivers. She breaks down what we can expect from the 11 contestants at Friday’s pageant, which opens up at 6 p.m. at the Capella Performing Arts Center (tickets here). Then, on Saturday, Raney talks about all the things going on at Riverside Park from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. for Pride in the Park. That includes 88 vendors, entertainment all day on the bandshell, a family tent with programs from the La Crosse Library and the Parenting Place, a free clothing closet and a sensory tent. Bring your dollar bills to Friday’s La Crosse Pride Pageant. This is the Connection’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
