'Alles wat ik doe mag niet ten koste gaan van een ander' Shirma Rouse studeerde scheikunde, maar trekt inmiddels al jaren volle zalen als zangeres. Eerst als backing vocal van bijvoorbeeld Chaka Khan en Anouk, maar steeds meer als solo artiest. Ze is een graag geziene gast in bijvoorbeeld RTL Late Night en De Wereld Draait Door, deed mee aan The Voice of Holland en was Maria in The Passion! Momenteel toert ze door Nederland met een ode aan Aretha Franklin, één van haar grote voorbeelden. Ze komt van een eiland met nog geen 4000 inwoners, maar verhuisde op haar negentiende naar Nederland en ontdekte dat ze mensen kon raken met haar stem! Vanaf dat moment ging ze voor de muziek en met succes. Ze is één van Nederlands mooiste stemmen en heeft ook personality. In Onderweg praat Elsbeth met haar over haar inspiratie, humor, geloof en toekomst.
