#7. Teniecka Drake - Surviving Abuse and the Courage to Walk Away

 "Is your saftey and kids well being more important than having a two person household where they are in toxicity?"  Teniecka (@ggthw18) and I didn't waste anytime getting into heavy topics. She is an author, podcaster, blogger, and Youtuber who has been through a lot.  She (at the time of this episode being published) is actively going through the process of separating from her husband after living in an abusive marriage. Her courage is beyond explanation.  She grew up seeing her mother hustle and start her own businesses.  We don’t know if it was a bug that bit or something in her blood, but she was drawn to the entrepreneur life as well. While going through a hard time, she started a catering business and transitioned in a cleaning company later on.  Her most recent venture is her book The Gift of Finding Gods Love which is about the insights gained while struggling to leave her 8 year marriage to better her children's and her own future. There are many signs of being in an abusive relationship, some of more subtle than others. We cover some of the warning signs and the fact friends, family, and even coworkers can be toxic for your life and you must remove yourself from those situations and move on.  Teniecka has gone as far as taking all that she has learn through these challenging times and starting a Non-Profit LAFF (loving arms for families) where she plans to help displaced families, individuals due to abuse, veterans, and people with special needs.
