It is Thursday, January 11th, 2024. Here are seven things that Google is telling us we should be grateful for. Do you ever wake up in the morning and say, what should I be grateful for? It's simple.
There's your family, your pets, your friends, the fact that you have a bedroom. There's just a ton of things to be grateful for. But, you know, you're going to come out here and you're going to make a podcast every day about gratitude. Sometimes, you know, you have to stretch.
You have to wonder about things. So I sometimes need help. So I went to Google Bard. And here's what they said.
Number one, peaceful revolution of conflict. Perhaps a longstanding conflict between two nations or communities reached a peaceful resolution on January 10th. I don't think so, but it would be nice if that happened. Scientific breakthroughs, they are happening every day.
A lot of researchers will be constantly working on things. As a matter of fact, I'm up for, I'm volunteering for a study myself. Act of collective kindness. Now, I got to tell you, that happens every day.
Every day. And let me tell you, let me give you a really good example of that. In 2006, I was driving down Interstate I-275 in St. Petersburg when some weird guy in a truck rear-ended me at 65 miles an hour, spun my car around and slammed me into a wall.
I thought I was going to die. And I didn't. I was badly bruised everywhere. But I didn't die.
Grateful for that. But here's what else I'm grateful for. All the people who stopped to help. I mean, you know, tons of people.
I bet you, I don't know, at least ten, probably more. I was a little bit out of it, but it worked. So, you know, that's something. Artistic achievement.
Happens all the time. People are constantly making beautiful music. They're making beautiful art. Environmental progress.
Slow, but slowly happening. My cat just walked into the studio. I apologize for the noise. And I'm speaking quietly because my son is sleeping in the next room.
I usually do these at night when he's not sleeping. Individual heroism. Yeah, that happens all the time. We see it every day.
I went and visited my brother at Bay Pines Hospital the other day. And when I walked into the place, when I was in the grounds, walking towards this very large building where he is at, the one thing I was just taken back by, that I was surrounded. I was literally surrounded by heroes. I mean, all the veterans that are there receiving services are people that volunteered and put their lives on the line for every one of us.
And you know, when I'm walking through those halls, it's just gratitude. Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. And then there's moments of shared joy.
I can give you an example of that. My brother's in the hospital. I'm not going to go into great details, but he's not doing great. And during my visit there, we had a lot of shared joy about things that we had done and, you know, making his wife smile and his son smile.
There's shared joy everywhere. Make sure you embrace that. Short one today. I got to get out of here.
I got to go to Tampa. Love you all. We will see you tomorrow. We will see you tomorrow.
Thank you.
