7. Vayeitzei 5777: Ladies First -For Real! ~Understanding The Power Of The Woman

“Ladies first,” is what a gentleman says, however, is it what a gentleman believes? Let’s put away the political correctness, and let me say that no one is recording our thoughts to have them suddenly appear on social media when we decide to run for president… So, please, let us both be very honest with our thoughts now. What I have found in discussion with many men is that when a man says, “Ladies First,” they are thinking of one of two inner-beliefs, or both of them: a) The woman is the weaker sex, and needs the man’s protection. Thus, ultimately, the woman needs for the man to say to her, “Ladies first,” in order for the lady to be empowered in this Man’s World of ours in her being first. b) That the gentleman thing for a gentleman to do is to honor the woman with, “Ladies first,” and thus, this has nothing to do with whether the man truly believes that the lady is truly first with or without the man offering this to her, because, in his belief system, his offering the woman to be, “Ladies first,” has nothing to do with who the woman is in society, but rather, of his own being a gentleman in society. The point here is that in both of these belief systems the man does not believe that the woman, in her own right, is first, higher, and more powerful than the man in our present state of the world. Yes, of course this man believes that the woman needs to be respected and has many amazing gifts, talents, and powers. However, does this man truly believe in his heart of hearts that women are superior to men, and therefore truly are in the rightful truthful G-d-given realm of, “Ladies First?” Men, hear what I am saying here. Are women, without the chivalry of the man, rightfully first, before man, built upon the woman’s superiority to man? My research has shown that most men don’t truly believe so. They even speak of equality as a gift of the modern thinking man.
