Whether it be in a yoga class, on an ecstatic dance floor or at a festival –Rara’s sounds are guaranteed to take you on a journey of blissful re-entry into the soul.As a long time member of two ground breaking music ensembles “Desert Dwellers”& “Shaman’s Dream”, Rara co-pioneered the sound of contemporary wellness music by combining elements of music therapy, vibrational science, digital music production with a strong background in jazz, blues, ethnic and classical studies.He has composed music for many prominent yoga teachers such as Shiva Rea, Duncan Wong, Janet Stone, Elena Brower, Hemalayaa Behl, Simon Low, Desi Bartlett, Matthew Cohen, Jonny Kest, Desiree Rumbaugh, Micheline Berry, + many more. Notable artists he has remixed are Deva Premal, Jai Uttal, Girish, Kalya Scintilla, David Starfire, Deep Forest, Gurunam Singh, Karsh Kale, Laya Project, EarthRise SoundSystem, Tarun (Delhi 2 Dublin), and Deya Dova.After the success of his“DownTemple Dub” (Desert Dwellers // Amani Friend) series on White Swan Records, Rara began making regular appearances at some of the most popular festivals like Beloved, Lightning In A Bottle, Symbiosis, Wanderlust, Shambhala, and Earthdance Northern California, Pranafest, Inspire Truth, Yoga Journal Conference, Midwest Yoga Conference, Beloved, Harmony Festival + many others.He also co-wrote and co-produced many other house hold yoga/ecstatic dance albums such as "Kerala Dream”, "Dance Dream Dance”and “Dial M for Mantra // Jai Uttal Remixed”(Shaman’s Dream // Craig Kohland).Rara’s solo music is also available on San Francisco based indy label Six Degrees records.For the past 3 years he has also been CEO and co-founder of Yogi Tunes.
