Cheri Tate met Edward Allen Covington while working at her bar in 1993 and the two hit it off, but the timing wasn't right. So, 7 years later, when Eddie walked back into her bar, she took it as a sign from god. The two quickly started dating and moved in together but the red flags didn't start to show themselves until after the two were married. Eddie quickly became violent and turned not only Cheri's family and friends against her, but also the police. She managed to leave Eddie, but that didn't stop him from terrorizing her to the fullest extent until one day he completely snapped.
