There, she had a general pediatric practice and has a special interest in children affected by autism spectrum and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD). She is closely involved with organizations such as Autism Speaks, the American Society of Autism (ASA), Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT), and Children and Adults with ADHD (CHADD). She has also been featured on KRON-TV 4 San Francisco and Dr. Dean Edell to talk about these behavioral conditions related to children. In addition to her position with Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Fisher has served as an associate clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco for the past 12 years, where she taught medical students. For her efforts there, she was presented with a teaching award in 2008. Dr. Fisher earned her medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine in 1977 and completed her residency in pediatrics at the San Francisco Medical Center.
