#70 Twixmas: A Time To Reflect On The Year That Was

from Let’s Talk Money and More

Here we are in that time between Christmas and New Year….an ideal time perhaps to reflect on what has been, and look forward to all that is to come. In this solo episode I reflect on how the last 12 months has gone and here I share journal exercises which I hope you will find useful as the new year comes. Enjoy tuning in! Key TakeawaysA holistic exercise, create two columns labelling one for personal life and the other for business life. And from each perspective, reflect what has worked well and what has not worked well over the last 12 months. We tend to learn more from hard lessons, those things that haven't worked, than we do from the things that worked well. It’s important to consider what was learned from those things because it will allow us to be better and create better experiences moving forward. Ask yourself, “Who do I need to become in order to grow the business in the way that I want to in 2023?” It’s all about stepping into the next version of ourselves as we grow and as we get older. Asking yourself important questions on a regular basis is vital. Here’s a brilliant accountability tool – write to your future self and congratulate yourself on everything you are going to achieve for the next 12 months, it sets your intention for the year. Set your financial goals for the year. Money loves a purpose. What is important is the emotional connection behind that financial goal. Because the goal is not the money. The money is just the enabler. What’s vital is the memories and experiences you create with the people that matter to you. Here are some prompts from Tony Robbins which my friend Matt Thompsett introduced to me to which focus on the here and now. The morning power questions – What am I happy about now in my life? What am I excited about in my life now? What am I right about in my life now? What am I grateful about in my life now? What am I enjoying in my life right now? What am I committed to in my life right now? Who do I love? Who loves me? And the evening power questions – What have I given today? What did I learn today, and what will I investment in tomorrow?Connect with Lesley ThomasFREE Resources www.themoneyconfidenceacademy.com/resources/My website www.themoneyconfidenceacademy.com/Join my Facebook Group www.facebook.com/groups/letstalkmoneyandmoreYoutube channel www.youtube.com/@themoneyconfidenceacademyFollow me on Instagram www.instagram.com/lesleythomascoaching/Connect with me on LinkedIn www.linkedin.com/in/lesley-thomas Hosted on Acast.
