We will begin our Unit on Fantasy books that will take us through January. Next week, the kids will grow and become more sophisticated readers of fantasy by thinking about how the quest of characters can be both internal as well as external. Also, we will compare themes in fantasy and history. Finally, students will self-assess using reading progressions. Writer’s Workshop We will continue our unit on Narrative Craft. The kids will be revising endings to their small moment stories and publishing a small moment story at the end of the week. Math Math Answers and Help Here The next few weeks will be dedicated to in Unit rates and Percentages. Here is a quick rundown of what we will be studying. Next week we will be beginning our study of percentages. We will discuss what percentages are and how to display them on double number lines and tape diagrams. History We will continue studying the civilization of the Ancient Israelites. Science The kids will work with Miss Stevens in science lab. Optional Science Fair Information. Thank you, Mr. Gray
