Dr. April M. Beisaw is a professor of anthropology at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. There she teaches courses on archaeology, museum ethics, forensic anthropology, and haunting heritage. She has published several books including Taking Our Water for the City: Archaeology of New York City's Watershed Communities and Identifying and Interpreting Animal Bones: A Manual. Her research has also appeared in American Anthropologist, Historical Archaeology, the International Journal of Historical Archaeology, and Museum Worlds.
