71 – Pirates Project Special

This podcast was recorded on November 29th, 2015 “The cat’s out of the bag!” as Phil finally reveals a story that was being developed with his friend Luke in 2008, as Jake listens in – “Pirates of the Caribbean”‘s lost and underdeveloped sequel that Phil thought was a great idea but will never see the light of day in film form. Sit back and listen in on this sea shanty tale about a plot that might have been great, but never had a chance. 2016 Intro (0:00 Talking Bonds (5:05) Luke’s Book of Murder (7:50) The Movie Pirate Pitch with Luke Watching the ‘Curse of the Black Pearl’ (13:54) The Ride and the Movies (25:02) Pirates 2 Appears (31:25) And Then The 3rd One Came Out (41:01) The New Pirates Ideas Start, 2007 (46:04) Pirates Ideas Develop, 2008 (54:42) Phil and Luke’s Pirates 4: Crossbones (57:58) The Story Begins (1:17:31) New Threat (1:19:05) Getting Jack Back (1:17:31) The Skull’s Demands (1:26:20) Off to the Mediterranean (1:32:53) Lots of Traps, Lots of Islands (1:48:33) Pirate King Resurrection (1:54:14) Getting a new Hat again (2:01:30) Stranger Tide’s Release and Re-Write ‘Dude, Pirates is dead!’ (2:07:06) Our Pirates 4 turned into 5 (2:09:33) Promotional Media (2:19:47) Ending Pirates with a Purpose (2:28:49) Phil’s Pitch-Package (2:35:01) Talking the ‘real’ Pirates 5 (2:39:15) Yo Ho, Yo Ho (2:45:33) Luke’s Quick Unrelated Story (2:52:46) Wrapping it all up (2:57:44) Spanish Enfrentamiento (Phil’s Pirates Movie Remix from 2008/2011) (3:02:31) Links: The Scarlet Thread of Murder The Pitch Video, Early 2008 – password for all videos: potc Pitch DVD Gallery & Storybook, 2008 Phil’s Pitch Chest He Sent Some of Phil’s Pirates Posters He Made Pirates 5 Prologue Animatic, 2011 + Version with Description Cup-Stacking Girl
