She is an academic with a Masters in Health Science and Applied Science. Her doctorate, ‘Women Who Buy Sex in Australia’ was the first study in the world to explore women buying sexual services and was informed by her sex work and professional career in the field of sexology. She is kinky and queer, a mother and grandmother. Dr Caldwell has recently released her first book, Slutdom, which argues convincingly and passionately for women’s enjoyment of sex as a force to advance gender equality.
