71. When Practical Meets Jesus: Social Media

Welcome back to the kitchen table. This week Bethany is wrapping up her series When the Practical Meets Jesus with a conversation that dominates our culture, social media. In this episode, Bethany visits phones, social media, gaming, and how the Gospel meets each one of those things.    Bethany reminds listeners of the five components in hopes that these will become a natural tool for you to use when you come against something challenging, and the five main points can help you navigate through new situations.    We understand that we are shepherding a soul in need of a Savior.  We rely on God for His wisdom and perspective. The Gospel truth.    Social media has come to dominate our culture and often convinces adults and children it is where you find happiness and peace. Of course, our children at a young age are asking for devices, but Bethany uses wisdom and discernment as the best tool to have difficult conversations. Bethany gives listeners insight on a word picture to help your children understand the importance of God’s wisdom in using these devices.    Bethany encourages listeners to share their own stories and experiences of being deceived by social media.
