72 Elizabeth Inpyn - Dialing In Plant-Based Performance

from I Could Never Do That · host Carrie Barrett

Today, I take a dive deep on a topic that is so, so important to me. Performance as a Plant-Based athlete. I hear all of the time from friends and fellow athletes who want to increase their knowledge and education around a plant-based diet and put it into practice in their training or on the racecourse. Today I'm speaking with Certified Sports Nutritionist Elizabeth Inpyn - she has a Masters of Science (in applied Exercise Science in Sports Nutrition) and she's also certified by the International Society Of Sports Nutrition, as well as a plant-based certification from the T.Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. Elizabeth is a nutrition coach for FuelIn, which is an online coaching service and app that takes the guesswork out of your fueling and eating and really helps to dial in your needs based on your personal training schedule. We talk through so many of the nuts and bolts of putting together a plantstrong performance plan We discuss soy (the many pros of this misunderstood food) We talk micronutrients and supplements We talk protein sources, protein powders, and how to mix and match foods to get some serious bang for your buck. You might never want to become fully vegan, but let's face it, we could all use a little more of a plant slant in our lives, yes? Episode Resources FuelIn
