Timothy Brown always wanted to join the military because of his love for Australia. When he was 22 years old, his dream came true when he joined a cavalry regiment. Having achieved his goal, Tim soon realised the military wasn’t going to be a lifelong career. But holding a 9-5 job had no appeal, so Tim started looking for ways to make money and discovered property. Tim’s first property purchase was a home for him and his partner. Soon after, he started investing in other properties. This led Tim to where he is today, the director and founder of The Charleston Group, a buyer’s agency. The military is very different to civilian life, Tim explains to Buyer’s Agent Institute founder Ben Handler. For example, the military offers more support and is a protected environment. Being left to their own devices can be a struggle for some veterans.
