Good evening, good morning. That's hitting. Yup. Bon Bon Bon.
Dun Dun. Good morning, good afternoon. Good morning. Good evening.
Welcome to the AllTalk Car Podcast Live Drive experience. Hallelujah and I are in a Audi Golf. Audi Golf Skoda. It's got four rings at the front.
It's got an engine. No electricity experience. So we've got an A3. It's not an RS.
It's an RS. It's an A3. It's got an S1 pack. We're now at some reversing.
You're holding the wheel. It doesn't have... No, we'll go back 50 metres. We want to be doing this in a garage if we wait and put that to kick in.
I'm somewhat impressed with this little car. It's quite smooth actually, but we'll get to the rest of it. We'll do the back story on what happened. So, Hallelujah's friends.
Let's do a friend. Hallelujah's friends are down here giving him an A3 to run around in S-line. So we opened the doors and it was lit up. Let's get to the bit of why I'm not driving around in my A7 and I'm driving around in an A3.
What happened to the A7? A7 brought down. Not long after I went in for a scheduled service. So do I have to get this?
No, I don't know. No, no, no. No, no, no. So I don't know this issue with this...
We won't even name the dealership. Right? It's like the car's fine. It's ongoing issues with...
I think my car drives fine. It's a great car. Between Turbo Diesel, Eric Bells and Whistles are everything. But every time I take it in for a service, I get to pick my car up.
And if it's not within a few days, within a week or two-weighs tops, something goes wrong. And it's always about the Ad Blue or the Diesel. It's always... Well, we've had Ad Blue problems.
We've had, on one time, I picked up the car, normal service, everything's fine, two days later. Right, that sensor goes off. So I think, oh, maybe faulty sensor. I mean, I just had my car service.
Surely they tell me my pads are low, right, and make some money. I want my cars there. No, I went to a mates workshop. You check that it goes.
Mate, your pads are low. See, it's like servicing by whatever the screen tells me to do rather than... Well, they pretty much just plug things in and, oh, well, the computer doesn't need pads. So all I bother looking if it needs pads.
Yeah. So I had the diesel in my car. I had similar problems with the Ad Blue, the Ad Blue, the Bipers, anything to do with the Diesel. It was just Volkswagen groups just went through a bad...
But it wasn't even that. The service in general is almost like... I lost it last week. Because one I had to take the car back was the check engine light was on.
Which means I've got a thousand Ks until the Ad Blue system shuts down. I can't start the car. So times it for a thousand kilometers? Yes.
If you get to that... If you haven't taken off the warning... No, you haven't fixed the problem. So I had to drive it back.
So there's two weeks after I've already dropped off and gone back to pick my car up and brought all that stuff. Okay? So I had to drive the car back. Right?
Spend an hour there while they go over it. Yeah. Okay. This is what we've got to do.
It's an Ad Blue fault. We've got to book it in. I'll give you a call by the end of the day. You can drive it, you know, fine.
So I didn't hear back. So the next day I'll ring you. Oh, yeah, I was going to email you. Okay.
So we're going to bring my car in. I'll get back to you. I'm just starting waiting to confirm something. But yeah, we're going to bring it in Wednesday.
Needless to say, by last Wednesday, I also had a date when I could get my car repaired. So I lost my shit. No, I don't know. I just had not pulled it to get back to you.
So finally I cracked it. Put something on Facebook right there, service. Okay. Meme.
And I got a phone call from the head of service. That's how I finally take it down and make sure that... I'm very, very fixed. I went all the way to over on you like Ross.
Yeah. So I went in today, got greeted, I've given this nice A3. Nice car actually. The blue two thousand work if you guys are listening.
I'll talk to you about that tomorrow. Right? When I take it back. Okay.
So I'm setting it up. No, I've tried. It just says my connect. Alright.
So we're in the A3. It's a nice quiet car. Yeah. It's got the virtual cockpit digital dash.
It's got the little screen that still pops up and down. Is that with all that? Is that with all that? Is that with all that?
Is that with all that? Is that with all that? But it's all lit up like a nightclub in here. I can see the color of my shoes.
So it's got all the mood lighting. That's it. It's a nice little car. It's got a nice little car.
It's got a nice little one. It's got a nice little one. It's got a nice little one. It's pretty roomy.
It's got that as a hatchback. It's got that square shape. It's got that nice semi-staged wagony. Yeah.
It's... I've driven around today traffic and pizza pieces. I can't say the value in this car. Like you'd really...
If you want to get into a European car, you'd really want to be a diehard Audi fanboy to buy this. To buy A3. This is going to sound crazy. But my brother Alex bought the KR Serato GT.
1.8 turbo. All the bells and whistles, everything. 30 green. Right away.
It's not that... Where I've got a problem. I mean, it's not... Look, this is very composed, but it's still got a lot of hard plastics.
Oh, yeah. Right? And yeah, K, it's got the virtual dash and all that stuff. But it's another 20K on top of it.
It's like a... It's like a... It's for me. I mean, I would never black it up.
But for me, it's the same car as a golf. I've had two golfs. For me, it's a smooth car. It's a great car.
But Volkswagen a couple of weeks ago gave me a base golf at the last of the Mark 7s. It was a one-liter engine. That thing hammered for 22, 23 grand. You're not going to get an A3.
These things are close to 40K. Well, if you want the S1 pack. Yeah. We're a comparative golf.
You can save about 10 grand. And give a similar car. No, I look nice car. I'm not a fan of the virtual dash.
I actually like the analog dials that my A7 has. I've got the part of the virtual dash. I've got the nav in everything. Yes.
At the moment, you've got the two dials. Yeah. The right dial is the speed out with the digital speed out in the middle. And the left side is the taco and showing you what gear you're in.
And in the middle is a map. You can... You know, I can kind of view it on the other floor. Full map and the dial is the spot.
Which I don't know why you make that for. Like, I want it back. Okay? Because you have a speed out all of a sudden.
It's very small, so you'd want to get two to the wrong. Yeah. But... Actually, you have all of the dogs.
I don't know how to... I like the needles. I like the needles with a big screen in the middle. Yeah, but I've got the same screen in the center.
I've got the same needles. I've actually got needles and, you know, I don't know. Everything else is the same. Now I should actually thought about it.
If I saw my A7, I'd really have to like it's used. It's five years old now. But if I saw my A7, I couldn't even get into one of these new. So I'm thinking, wait, where's the value?
I understand depreciation. It's not that fast. You know, it's... It's a...
Yeah. I mean, I know you said you wouldn't buy a key up. But I cannot see. And people will go out and buy one of these.
They obviously do because it's here. Or just turn the air full. Because it blows into the microphone. Or does it?
Yeah, and you get the... Oh, why don't we just turn it down there? Because it's getting... The window is not fogging up in here.
Is it my smell? Is that what you worried about? No, the window is not fogging up. That's what I put it on.
We're already fighting. So we just point it up. When I drive the cars, everything's fine. It's when you guys drive.
We're all getting sensitive when the car... This car doesn't have the room at the X5, dude. When I'm doing 15 kilometres an hour. We are not social distancing at the moment.
Listen, it doesn't sound like a train. A train? It's got the stuff start. Like, what do you think it's got start?
Don't mind it. This is actually not that intrusive. Yeah, it's a bit sensitive though. If you go for it on the brake and you move your big toe, it'll get back on.
So I do... It doesn't have the hold feature. Oh, yeah. So you push the brake pedal in, not now.
It doesn't have hold. It doesn't have hold. Which I think if you're going to have stop start, then it should have it. I've noticed the bigger the engine, the car don't mind the stop start because you know, the bigger engine can handle the stop.
You're going to start it where the percet, because the two litre diesel, you really hear it chugging. Yeah, the first one you look for, the percet, that's the switch, that bloody thing off. I don't think the fuel saving is that great. But the default setting is...
Now, if you're not spending a lot of time, like, pop at a bumper traffic, I'd like it off. Yeah, actually, right. It's got that kind of control. It's got all the bills and whistles pretty much.
You've got that rotary dial. Is it the A7 similar? You've got that rotary dial? Yeah, use it.
The screen's not touch-free, is it? So you get used to the rotary dial? Yeah, it's... I mean, I don't think that's set up straight away.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's got the mouse. So you can do the mouse? Yeah, it's still the mouse. So, it's scratching, scratching.
But it's on the steering wheel. And the handle's quite right. It's a small car, so it does feel some of the bumps. It's suspicious quite fair.
Has it got a set up suspension? Well, I'm thinking, I'm pretty sorry to the motor. I just want to get the fuck out of there. I probably said too much.
It is last week. So... But being the S-line may have the firm suspension, I don't know. But it's pretty crappy riding city, unless you get out on the motorway.
It's good to hear the seats. It's really loaded. It's got a few options. Actually, the heated seats were all when I jumped in.
And I didn't realise it. And then I thought, the first thing I thought was, well, I'm not like twice a total. So maybe it has got heated seats. Actually, I did put the heated seats on.
It's not a helps. Calm, the digestive system. Weaves on the windscreen. No, roof.
No sunroof. Have a go on the back seat. It's a little bit... It's got the metal plastic rings around the divots.
It's a good little car. It's got everything that you need. Yeah, look at... I just cannot see.
It's not a value, man. You can't. There's no value in this car. It can go more like off-genii.
Yeah, for the same money, you'd get a genii. It's a smash. So, just like, no, it's... But we're about to hot it up.
The RS3 is like the RS3 and the RS3. The RS3 is just a different angle. It is. But I just...
We just spent 100 grand on the RS3. No. No. Compared to an A45s.
I don't even... I'd be looking for a deal on an M2C. Oh, yeah. It's a different car than an M2C.
Why do they start tearing up demos? We'll have to go to our friends at Sylvania or North Shoreley Brad and see what they can do for us. It's... I don't know.
Nice car. Someone, you know, find... John, where I've got a company car. Yeah, look at some of that.
Here it is. I'm not going to complain. I'm not going to complain. It comes down to would you spend your money on this?
I'm telling you, not a... I like that you feel money. Which, you know, I've only probably... I've only got about two cars brand new.
So, because I like my value for money. The only two cars I've bought brand new is my GSR and many years ago, my WR8. But I just cannot see the value in something. A friend of mine was looking around last week and sent me an E250.
It was a 24-day, 60,000 case on it. It was 40 grand. So, rang him up and I said, why do you want an E250? Like, the old shape of square ones.
Yeah, it was that in between shape, the 14. It was an up-down. It was an up-down. It's still that cool.
I said, why do you want an E250? I don't want an E250, but I just like to look at it. I go, well, one, you can probably go with C250 and get a 15 or a 16. You know, I've got the same money.
I just want to spend 40 grand and, you know, this is like Mercedes. What about, you know, if you want something with a bit of size, they're not too low, like a little hatch. I thought, what about a GLA? 2017 GLA 250.
Load it. And that's the updates, got Android Auto and App Rate, right? For $43.90 drive away, it was like $30,000 case. That's a pretty good value.
That's 25, $25.27 ran off from the frontiers. And it's in the Mercedes approved car. So, you've got two Mercedes-Benz fans' warranty. So, there's good value out there.
So, you could pair that to a price of an A3. Oh, like, this thing's got, okay, but I can extend the warranty on that mistake. So, you could, I think, we made them want us against, they do, uh, extended manufacturers, weren't you? Um, so, for an issue, to get an additional three years, say, you know, five years and up to 200,000 case, which, you know, reasonable, uh, it was like $19,000 or $2,000.
And we'll talk about your A7. We'll talk about that when they come on charge. Right, yeah, so, well. So, you have five years warranty for less money, still with the bills and whistles.
It's, just don't know how, even, I don't know how they sell these cars, do you? They do? I'll just, they do. I mean, it's, it's, it's either a car for the, the daughter or for the wife, it's, they're, uh, obviously they are on site, can't they?
Right, but you're on the motorway. What do you reckon? It's, uh, you want to hit it? That's a tunnel.
Wait. Straight, that's the old info. Well, we're in the tunnel there. We're in the tunnel there.
We're in the tunnel? We're in the tunnel? We're off at, um, Hamilton's. That's right, as we get you off now.
Yeah, back. Um, so basically we're about to enter into the new West Connect tunnel. It was on the news about a week ago. Yep.
It is the highest grossing speed camera in the New South Wales. Already? $7.5 million. Oh, how stupid could you be?
Well, it's, it's marked, it says 80 kilometers an hour. And it's already number one. Well, actually all the tunnels are in the top three. So you had, this tunnel's first.
Um, the, uh, the lane cove, one of the other tunnels. And five was third. And then they hit, there was an outside speed camera somewhere. So they were trying to figure out what, what possesses people, get crazy in tunnels.
So this is the one that ranks first. And I don't know where they are. The M5 and I, they always hit the brakes. And then how are I?
I think Cruz, I made it to you. Yeah, he did it. Yeah, he did it. Um, but other news, I did a road trip the other week.
Went up to Miami with a Macan. It was a good run. The road worked on it. It was a complete north of Grafdon.
It was a smooth run. Um, God, did well. The kids loved the Wi-Fi. They hooked their laptops.
Um, into the Wi-Fi. What's their movie? So they kept taking it quite for their drive. But, um, the car performed definitely.
And no one ever took me. Yeah. Actually, the mall trip set at 123. It's really pointy.
Yeah, it's a quiet car. I mean, it's, I mean, it's, you know, we've got no, uh, uh, it's just time noise. It's just time noise. Yeah, it's just, and we're in the tunnel as well.
Yeah, it's really, it's time noise. You know, the noise, the internal noise is pretty good. Um, so if you're looking for a car. It's a good car.
Look for a demo with something with 20,000 cases, 20,000. Yeah, I do it, do it on an A3. It's a beautiful car. And it looks not bad.
It's in white, this one. It's an update, but it's just dated when you look at the A2, A class, the Mercedes. Yeah, it's not the, you know, the dash helps. I actually like the, the A class is no different way.
Has anything now? Yeah. Right? It's a lot more expensive than this.
I don't know about the, the pizza board. The dash, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know about it.
I've got a funny feeling that, you know, the next gen may get dulled back a bit in a different way because I don't know how it's going to catch up. And they're going to date pretty quickly those two rectangular screens. They look pretty schmick now, but they're going to. Yeah.
They just worried about the other 20 some of those things when they're 10 years old. They're like, five. I mean, if you've got, think about this. If you've got a sense on gas, well, if you've got an iPhone 7, if you've got an iPhone 7 or an iPhone 8, make no way.
Yeah. And they're only a couple years old. I found, everyone's got phones now at home and the kids. We found our old iPhones in the top of the cupboard in the kitchen.
And a lot of them expanded because of the batteries. You can't use them. Well, the original iPhone, they've all expanded. But no, what else have you been up to now?
Well, the big green machine didn't fit some tenderloin care. They sold? No, there was an option with a few classic holdings. I don't know if you saw that article.
Yeah, the GTSR sold for 118. And that's the same as mine, but with no options on it. Yeah. I think they said it had 11, 400K.
Mine just clicked over 3000, so it's not on. It's straight line. It's straight line. And they sold a VS GTSR with the yellow ones with them.
Yeah, but the nubintaxi yellow. Yeah, with the back is the tray at the back. And this was not one of the few cars that had the HRT blueprint. That's right.
That was $335,000. And I'd be looking for one of those. And now that that went, but that price. That's not good.
It was one for sale about two, three years ago for about 50 grand. Yeah, not one of them. But I had about 200,000 cars. This guy had driven it.
Yeah. And I thought, no. But there's not for sale. There's not for sale.
So, yeah, it's like from that, just trying to move officers, trying to off some cars. So if you want to buy a hundred for someone, it would be like an 80s highlights. You need a star for that. You need a star.
Yeah, you may need a flannelette shirt. And then a bandana. And a bandana moustache. And you may have to start looking like this essay.
So, yeah. No, I just, I got no room for anything. And there's just too much going on. And it's a shame that if I don't get driven, it's worse for the cars.
You've got to move it. The NX5 needs a new battery. A club star that a couple of weeks ago. And it, you can tell it, you don't want to restart.
So, well, if you heard that, that's a GT2 RS. We're about to follow it. Yeah, so I'm going to need back at the time. That's great.
The GT2. Nice to GT3. You can't hear that in the mic. Are we going to drive the GT2?
No, for example, it's driving. It's not. You're going to have to get in there and hold the mic. Ricky is a bit of a pussy.
So, Ricky is driving it to the city. Pretty much every chance he gets in doing laps. Who is trying to get a live drive with the GT2 RS? This is the Porsche Australia launch car from the Australian JP in 2018.
That Mark Weber did that, so we'll be able to get that to the IP hot-atch. Including Jackie Stewart. So, we're trying to get in there, but we might have to drive it, but I think we'll sit a little bit of the mic in there. Because that thing will be screaming its tits off.
So, if you wanted to tell me what you do is, I don't get Ricky to let me drive in the vehicles. Because then you're going to hear some entertainment. Hey, we've got to let me Rosie there because we'll get scared. He's got your seats.
So, I don't know what that's going to do. So, it's like the VIA. So, we've got that coming up. Tom, the roving reporters are going to give us the keys.
They're the grangers ready to go for a test run. So, we're going to do a live drive with the grange soon. And, yes, it's confirmed. We've got next week, we're going to get our panel shop that repairs Bentley's.
So, we're going to have a chat about how to put a Bentley together. And we've got a few other little surprises coming up. So, keep listening. Johnny's the one to Ferrari.
Except we can't get his car out of the car. We'll come up. But we'll, uh, because he's got flat battery. Again.
So, now that we charge that up, the electric car brake does not. Come on, come on. There's not an advantage. Funny story.
I'm in the car, I'm going to wire my this thing to engage. So, I'll jump on my phone. This is the Italian Monara. This is the Italian Monara, the Gran Turismo Stradale MC.
So, I start doing the thing. The Nazarati Gran Turismo. And normally, the next word that on order, when you're doing something for sale, reviews, that's the next word. Next word.
Problems. Did you find it? Yeah. That was a fun.
I said, okay, yeah, that's got a problem. Next word. Battery. The common problem with the Nazarati is when they lose voltage, they shut down electronics.
Yeah. Right, so you can't get the pack brake off. So, if a Nazarati does, by chance, listen. Get that's a boy.
You know, like what the fuck? Okay. Surely you can get the fucking pack brake off so you can get your car to get a battery changed. How the fuck do I get the battery changed?
I can't drive it. You can't drive it. I can't get out of the air. I can't get out of the air.
I said what we call roadside. I was at the tow truck. You're going to have a problem, mate. It's in the lead.
Trolley Jackson, you can't even pull it out. No, I'm going to pull it. Take the battery off the wheels. So, there you go.
So, I don't think so. So, I've got a few more interesting guests and ideas coming up. So, keep listening. Download us.
