72: The Joy of Vegan Baking

from Vegan Radio · host Derek Pashupa Goodwin

On our 72nd show we introduce a new co-host, Jilian Oder. Jilian is an ovo-lacto vegetarian who wants to go vegan. Derek and Scott hope to help her make the change. This show marks her first day as a vegan, and over the course of the next few episodes we will follow her progress, trials and tribulations. Jilian takes over the show as we interview the author of The Joy of Vegan Baking, Colleen Patrick-Goudreau. Colleen talks to us about her book and the nuances of vegan baking. As usual we go off into many other topics, such as food as aphrodisiac, animal rights themes in literature, murdering yeast, podcasting, and tricking people into eating vegan food. We also debut the new Dave Warwak segment, Vegan School 101. Nuff said...In the News: Bob Barker Donates $1M for Animal Law Program at the University of Virginia, Adolescent Vegetarianism on the Rise, Nebraska woman claims she found needle in pork roast, Peanut Butter Recalled Over Salmonella, Whale meat sold at half-price.
