So, that calls to mind this interview with a true jazz legend: David Sanborn - as a matter of fact, Sanborn used to regularly sit in with Paul Shaffer’s band on the old late night Letterman shows. Now, David Sanborn is a man who loves music.  As a composer, performer on his chosen instrument, the saxophone or as a recording artist with more than 2 dozen album releases — the man has fans around the world.

Recognition?  He’s received six Grammy Awards, has had 8 Gold albums and 1 Platinum album.  He’s toured with artists as diverse as the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Stevie Wonder.  As a session artists, he’s appeared on the albums of everyone from James Taylor to Billy Joel. In this interview, Paul caught up with David Sanborn backstage to have a talk about his musical roots right before a great concert.

The Paul McGregor Podcast Paul McGregor On the 4th March 2009, my life changed forever. My Dad, the man I looked up too, the man who in my eyes had 'everything' on paper took his own life. After it happened I struggled to deal with the grief, I buried the pain and found myself asking the question 'why' over and over again. I too then found myself struggling with depression and anxiety. This Podcast is all about documenting not only my own personal journey to discovering more about mental health and suicide, but to also document other stories too. It's time to talk about mental health, it's time to give it the voice it deserves and hopefully this Podcast can provide that. Hopefully this Podcast helps show others that they're not alone...Paul McGregor is an author, lecturer, a mental health advocate, husband, Father of 2 and avid Liverpool supporter. He shares daily content, giving mental health a voice across multiple social platforms and through speaking and workshops across the UK.<p style='color:grey; THE PAUL HALME AUDIO ADVENTURE Paul Halme Business, Fitness and Fun! The Paul Hutchings Podcast Paul Hutchings Inspiring & Empowering freedom through principle centered lessons on Personal Development, Online Marketing & Financial Literacy. The Paul Salamone Podcast Paul Salamone Berlin-based comedian Paul Salamone rants about pop culture, local geography, and books he's reading while playing cheap electronic music live on a synthesizer. Hear old road stories and laugh at Paul's attempts at self-improvement, foreign language mastery and financial freedom... all of it back by occasional techno jams, weird reggaeton and chiptune stupidity.
