#74 Joe Greer - Pastor to Photographer, Documentary Preview, Chicago Marathon Goals

from Life in Stride · host Life In Stride Network

On this episode, the boyz had on special guest Joe Greer! Joe is a husband, father, photographer, and runner. Friend of the pod Eric Floberg made a documentary about Joe’s life that will be available to the public by the end of 2024 called “Moving Still.” There have been a few premiers of the film already, but if you want to dive deeper than this episode into Joe’s life, make sure you follow both Eric and Joe on socials for release details.Joe had a really interesting career journey. He dropped out of college and went to bible college in Washington. His plan was to become a pastor. But then - Instagram came out. Joe quickly gained a following on Instagram with his photography and ended up working at the company VSCO (all of you OG Instagram users remember VSCO, right?). From there, his photography career took off and Joe is now a full time photographer. We would HIGHLY recommend a follow to Joe’s Instagram account, which will be linked below.Joe ran in high school, but found running again in his 30s after an extended break. He quickly learned he was talented at the sport and now, at age 36, is shooting for a sub 2:30 at the Chicago Marathon. We discussed his training block and race plans. We had a really nice time getting to know Joe a little better, and we think you will too. Enjoy!
