Welcome to this episode, where we dive into how Virtual Reality (VR) is transforming teacher education. The global demand for qualified teachers continues to rise, but traditional training models often face limitations when it comes to offering scalable, inclusive, and realistic learning experiences. VR has emerged as a promising tool that provides immersive, interactive, and repeatable environments for procedural practice, engagement, and reflection.This analysis is based on a comprehensive systematic review of 52 empirical studies published between 2014 and 2024. The meta-analysis indicates that VR has a positive moderate overall effect in teacher education. We will take a closer look at the key findings, including the fact that effectiveness varies significantly depending on the level of immersion, type of equipment, and learning objectives.
