75. Dave Wills: Playing College Ball, Reporting for Sports Phone & Becoming the Voice of the Tampa Bay Rays

Dave Wills has been the radio play-by-play announcer for the Tampa Bay Rays since 2005. We discuss how growing up in the Chicago area listening to great sportscasters like Jack Brickhouse and Harry Caray influenced him towards his own broadcasting career. You'll also hear about Dave's route to becoming the voice of the Tampa Bay Rays, the build up to that magical 2008 Rays season, and what it was like to call ballgames from monitors during the pandemic.
