Nicole and Michael Kowalczyk met each other as teenagers and, today, this married couple are the co-founders of Tailored Property Group. Michael grew up with a single mum. Watching her struggle to make ends meet inspired him to get a part-time job when he was only 14 years old. A desire to make his money work for him led Michael to read books and talk to people. Fortunately, a friend told him about property investing. Michael became an electrician and worked long hours so he had more money to save. This strategy led him to buying his property at age 21. Nicole studied medical science but wanted to work with people so switched to nursing. She tells Buyer’s Agent Institute founder Ben Handler she started investing with Michael in her first year of nursing. By then, Michael already owned two properties. They continued to invest and add value to their properties. This eventually led Michael and Nicole to becoming buyer’s agents. But with three small children, they’re risk-averse so they’re still transitioning into running the business full-time. Michael and Nicole are passionate about helping people make their savings go further so they too can escape nine-to-five jobs by building passive incomes. They feel buyers are more willing to trust them because of their own property portfolio.
