*In english I recently sat down with Montreal singer-songwriter Peggy Hogan aka Hua Li (pronounced whoAH-lee) to discuss her latest full length album "Ripe fruit falls but not in your mouth". I was made aware of Hua Li through her collab with our mutual Friend Gayance on their 2023 smash "Clout Chasers anthem". Naturally I jumped on the opportunity to sit down with the “half-Chinese, half-militant, half-rapper" to talk about everything. I learn about her upbringing in Vancouver, her parents influence and the experiences that shaped her youth. Through our conversation I find out how she made her way to Montreal and the attitude and dedication required to making it work no matter what. Truly an inspiring, hard working artist.
