77 - Paranormal Activity (2007) Review

from The Final Podcast · host The Final Podcast

Bryan admittedly records himself when he sleeps because he has a feeling Shane pops into his room and watches him. Shane has often been called "someone who lurks" and has even been on the record saying "I like to watch people when they are most vulnerable." Paranormal Activity is a movie where the protagonist, Kate, is shadowed by a demon in her new home and her boyfriend, Micah, tries to capture it on camera the entire movie. It's shot as a found footage movie and when first released, there was so much hype and buzz surrounding it, making us very interested. We distinctly remember watching footage of audiences leaving theaters in terror of this movie. Mikey Bratwurst is back to review the first movie of a series we would watch as a tradition. Does this movie hold up as to what we remember over 10 years ago? Is the still video capture of doors opening scary enough to make me want to scream? When was the last time I was dragged on the floor?
