As he loads his massive ship (Naavai) with precious silks and perfumes to trade in Kadaram (Malaysia), a poor farmer hands him a few handmade wooden toys to sell. Chezhiyan promises to help him.But right in the middle of the ocean, a terrifying storm (புயல்) strikes! The waves rise like mountains, and the sailors yell that they must throw cargo overboard to stop the ship from sinking. In a moment of crisis, Chezhiyan makes a shocking choice: he throws his own expensive silk into the sea but safely protects the poor farmer's wooden toys!Why would a rich merchant sacrifice his own wealth for a poor man's toys?
