78 - Grim Oop North

from Back Of The Net - The AFC Bournemouth Podcast · host Back of the Net - The AFC Bournemouth Podcast

On Sunday, Cherries travelled to Bramall Lane in another must win encounter but sadly emerged losing 2-1 after Sheffield United gave us a lesson in doggedness and determination. Conditions were awful throughout the country, and to many people's surprise - the game still went ahead. However, whilst the weather settled, the AFC Bournemouth side didn't, and, despite a good early start, the Blades deservedly came away as victors. In this podcast Sam is joined by Tony AKA Mr Tigz, as we dissect the 2-1 loss, trying to work out what went right and what went wrong. Although there were some early positives, the home side managed to stay disciplined and eventually took over proceedings - scoring a second, sending them even higher up the Premier League table. On this podcast we also chat to Louise Clarke from Proud Cherries. After the Phillip Schofield "revelation" on Friday, many people have been exclaiming that in this day and age, no one should *need* to come out and make a big deal of it anymore, however, we chat to the figurehead of the Cherries LGBT+ group and find out why it is still important and necessary for it to be done. Plus, Tigz and Sam return to preview the next Bournemouth encounter - at Eddie's former side Burnley - in another Northern clash which sees the Cherries needing three points more than ever before!
