#78 | Lauren Teruya | Miss Hawai'i 2022, a year of service, and Arts for All

from Keep it Aloha · host Kamaka Dias

Lauren Teruya is the former Miss Hawaiʻi 2022 from the island of Oʻahu. She is also ateacher, journalist, news reporter, freelance writer and performer. With her Miss Hawai’i win last year, she and her sister became the first sisters to win the Miss Hawai’i competition. During her reign she traveled all over spreading her message of Arts for All, a program that brings the arts into the classroom to help kinesthetic learners succeed in school. Most recently she gave up her crown and will be starting a new job working for the local news station. In this episode we talk about her time as Miss Hawai'i, how she got into the performing arts, her mission for Arts for All, and so much more. Enjoy!
