Lisa and Gene met in Tennessee and immediately found their compatibility groove. Gene is the stable "wind beneath the wings" and gives Lisa her space to plunge into a variety of business ventures. Growing up around horses and generations of Hat Masters fueled Lisa's love for western wear. Coupled with her entrepreneurial spirit, Lisa has had numerous opportunities to spread her wings all over the country... including Hawaii, where she and her family were personally affected by the Lahaina Fires of 2023. They moved back to the continental 48 where they found a home in Murphy, NC. They opened and currently run Indigo Mountain Traders; an ecclectic store that features some local artisans' work along with Lisa's own hat creations.
