Cindu Thomas-George is an award winning tenured professor of Communication Studies at the College of Lake County (CLC) specializing in Intercultural Communication, Public Speaking, and Online learning.  Simultaneously, she is the Founder and Principal Trainer of Shakti Diversity and Equity Training where she designs and facilitates professional development experiences that promote equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and intercultural competence. She creates and facilitates impactful learning experiences that equip employees with the essential awareness and skills necessary to be advocates of diversity and agents of change towards cultivating an inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist organizational cultureIn this episode, Cindu depicts her early experiences as a Brown Woman in America.
