Dr. Ken begins the second hour with his “Top 5 @ 5” sharing the biggest stories of the past 24 hours which included Cobb County Superior Court Clerk Connie Taylor being indicted on two counts of destroying public records and two counts of violating the oath of office, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting announcing that it will wind down its operations due to the fallout of President Donald Trump enacting a rescissions bill clawing back congressionally approved federal funds for public media and foreign aid, & President Donald Trump again making news for his “order of two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions” following “highly provocative statements” made by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, along with other stories in the news cycle. Further into the hour Dr. Ken reads comments and thoughts from the talk and text line regarding the topics of the past hour and current from how music shifts our mood and influences our world & wraps the show heading into the weekend with a book review on W.E.B Dubois’ “The Souls Of Black Folk” setting the stage for a discussion next week on how black society can keep progressing & trending upwards.
