8.16 Make new connections and develop your marketing tools with Flora Sulit

In 2015, Flora was inspired by her then seven-year-old son to write a story about his favorite video game. That fun project unexpectedly expanded into a book series and rebranded the stay-home mom as the author and illustrator named Renee Libra. Aiming to give back to the community and inspire her audience, she built on her newfound titles to be a presenter, a speaker, and a participant in cultural and literacy events at local schools and organizations. While the pandemic cancelled all in-person activities, she used the downtime to work on her next book, make new connections, and develop her marketing tools in anticipation to pick up where she left off.
