Jesus is oppositional.There's no whitewashing about it. The message that He came to preach cut against the old religious system. It cut against the culture of His Jewish contemporaries. It cut against the rich + the poor. No one was safe.And neither are we. As C.S. Lewis put it so well in his Chronicles of Narnia series - referring to Azlan (the character representing Jesus): "Safe? Who said anything about safe? Of course He isn't safe!
