8/28/23 - Maui: Conspiracy Paradise

The destruction of parts of Hawaii due to recent fires has also sparked one of the most intense disinformation and misinformation campaigns in years. While people argue over CC and DEWs, maybe some geoengineering, they miss critical points: Maui’s Police Chief is John Pelletier, who ran the botched Las Vegas shooting response; police barricaded roads so residents cold not escape, though some disobeyed authorities and therefore survived; firefighters had declared the blaze contained and left the scene; the sirens stayed silent; power lines and poles were blowing over and on video sparking fires; Hawaii’s electric utility even immediately hauled away the poles, power lines, transformers, conductors, and other equipment before just recently admitting to having been responsible for starting a fire on Maui; Lahaina has been blocked off from outsiders. We also just found out that the fires in Greece were largely started by 79 arsonists who have been arrested. Instead of focusing on these facts, conspiracy sleuths drone on about celebrity homes surviving the fires even though Oprah, Obama, and Bezos all have homes on other islands or on Maui but very far from the Lahaina fires. They talk about how the hurricane was hundreds of miles away - and ‘so how could it blow the wind so severely’ - without basic knowledge about hurricanes being measured in distance from their eye. Besides the MTN Dew Maui flavor at Dollar General, now Class 5 Sangria at Publix is being touted as predictive programming.
