8-James Henderson Gets Kids Into College

I speak to James Henderson, an HBCU graduate of Morgan State who wanted his son to consider HBCUs as well as Ivy League schools. As a result, James created college tours so that all African-American students could see the benefits of both sets of institutions. James and I discuss his passion for wanting kids to know all of their options, and his desire that they receive business creation and financial literacy education. The MTM foundation also provides college prep courses along with SAT and ACT classes. Statistically African American students still score lower on SAT and ACT test as compared to their white counterparts. James and his MTM foundation are helping to close that gap. The MTM Foundation sponsors college tours that allow aspiring college students to visit college campuses and receive an introduction to college life.
