8: Learning To Orgasm For Vulva Owners and Females
from All Things Love and Intimacy with Katie Ziskind · host Katie Ziskind, MFT, LMFT, CSTIP, RYT500
Learning how to orgasm can be a wonderful part of life and intimacy. Emotional challenges in your relationship can lead to issues orgasming. Some women feel shame and guilt when they think about being sexual, self-pleasure, or behaving in sexual ways. Women can learn sexual skills to increase confidence, desire, overcome sexual boredom, learn to orgasm, and embrace sexual pleasure. Females need more time than a person with a penis does to fully enjoy foreplay, get turned on, and to be able to experience an amazing orgasm. Starting with foreplay, a female might want to be touched more delicately and sensitively on non-sexual areas and then have touch progress to sexual areas of her body in a teasing manor. If a female feels rushed or uncomfortable, she needs to speak up. She should never feel she has to grin and bear it when touch is too rough or uncomfortable. A female needs to feel safe to talk with her partner about the type of touch she wants. Orgasms can not be forced. Women more easily orgasm from nipple and clitoral stimulation than from penetration. Don't force it and just enjoy! Mindfulness, relaxation, and self-awareness tools can help a woman connect her mind and body, which is a key part of orgasming. Learning to orgasm begins with self pleasure and masturbation. A woman can take the time to touch herself, play with sex toys, get to know what her body likes, and the type of pressure she enjoys. With a partner, females need creativity, spontaneity, mystery, presence, and to feel desired to let go and orgasm. Information provided is no replacement for seeking professional help.
