Having taken an interest in athletics as a teen when it was heavily judged he seen it as an opportunity to bring the sport to his community. This lead him to starting his own athletics club, Finn Valley AC, he became Irelands manager at 5 Olympics Games along with countless World and European events. He is the longest ever manager in athletics history. He has many personal awards for his accomplishments in athletics.
