Pomerantz wrote and produced the semi-autobiographical film based on her experience of coming out in her 30’s. Pomerantz began her career as a writer for Saturday Night Live, for which she received an Emmy nomination. She served as head writer for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and during her tenure there won 17 Daytime Emmy Awards. Other writing credits include the sitcoms Community and Me, Myself & I and the Apple animated series Strange Planet, on which she also served as Executive Producer.
