Communication and good workmanship should be your basic expectation, yet beyond that, every homeowner is different. Clear understanding from the beginning between you and your contractor will facilitate the building process.
Tell your contractor how much you want to be involved in project and maybe write down some of your specific expectations. Share the list with the contractor. No items is too small.
