80. China Arnold: Infanticide of Paris Talley by Microwave
from Reverie True Crime · host Paige Elmore
China Arnold is proof that just because you give birth, it doesn’t always make you a mother. She had given birth just recently to 28-day old, Paris Talley. China and Paris’ father, Terrell Talley, got into a crazy, drunken argument at the park. When they got home, Terrell went to a friend’s place and for some stupid, horrible reason, later that night…China decided to take the life of this sweet, precious baby girl. The motive isn’t clear. There are two possible motives. None of which are acceptable, of course. This story is a really sad one. 🙏🏻 Rest in Paradise, Paris.Even though this episode is not about a babysitter hurting a child, it made me think about it and I wanted to include some resources for that.Resources for background checks on babysitters:https://www.kidsit.comhttps://kidsit.com/babysitter-background-checkhttps://www.nannylane.com/background-checkshttps://www.urbansitter.com/trusthttps://www.care.com/c/how-do-i-get-my-babysitter-background-checkhttps://community.today.com/parentingteam/post/how-to-properly-background-check-your-nannyPromo: The Trail Went ColdSponsor: Get a discount on stunning jewelry at https://shop.analuisa.com/truecrime Discount code TRUECRIMEPatreon: https://www.Patreon.com/ReverieTrueCrimeMerch: https://reverie-true-crime-podcast.creator-spring.comTwitter: https://www.Twitter.com/ReverieCrimePodInstagram: https://www.Instagram.com/ReverieTrueCrimeFacebook: https://www.Facebook.com/ReverieTrueCrimeSOURCES:https://law.justia.com/cases/ohio/second-district-court-of-appeals/2013/24687.html https://law.justia.com/cases/ohio/second-district-court-of-appeals/2010/2010-ohio-6617.html https://www.leagle.com/decision/inohco20101105611 https://www.daytondailynews.com/news/local/defense-for-china-arnold-begins-microwave-baby-case/qKOBD0Vbj5l19frnzsm4QO/ https://www.the-review.com/article/20101105/NEWS/311059578 https://www.wtol.com/amp/article/news/mother-on-trial-in-microwaved-baby-case/512-0c841cf8-1f8e-4ff9-ad29-b973b2d7ca7d https://murderpedia.org/female.A/a/arnold-china.htm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_P._Arnold https://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-arnold-update-ohio-mom-who-microwaved-baby-wants-new-trial-her-fourth/ https://www.foxnews.com/story/witness-ohio-mom-on-trial-said-baby-fit-right-in-microwave https://casetext.com/case/state-v-arnold-248 https://www.daytondailynews.com/news/crime--law/dad-takes-witness-stand-microwaved-baby-case/gqAU7chMEg0w6HkjZ2naQI/ https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1389418/China-Arnold-sentenced-life-prison-escapes-death-penalty-cooking-month-old-baby-Paris-death-microwave-oven.html https://www.daytondailynews.com/news/crime--law/ohio-supreme-court-won-hear-china-arnold-appeal/VYa7ya99TCkSqAONPuMP9L/ https://www.thecriminaljournal.com/murder-of-paris-talley-by-china-arnold-mother-killed-her-3-week-old-baby-girl-by-cooking-her-in-microwave/ https://www.liquisearch.com/china_p_arnold https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1327025/Mother-convicted-cooking-month-old-baby-death-microwave-oven-ruling-overturned.html http://www.angelizdsplace.com/child131.htm https://abuseangels.wixsite.com/abuseangels/paris-talley https://chameleontruecrimestories.com/death-by-microwave-the-murder-of-baby-paris-efd4bb6c6665 https://www.dailyfreeman.com/2011/05/14/jury-convicts-mom-in-babys-microwave-death/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reverie-true-crime--4442888/support.Keep In Touch:Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/reveriecrimepodInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/reverietruecrimeTumblr: https://reverietruecrimepodcast.tumblr.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/reverietruecrimeContact: [email protected] Intro & Outro by Jahred Gomes: https://www.instagram.com/jahredgomes_official
