#81 Dan Hamood was opal fossicking when he fell into a mineshaft

An avid opal miner, Dan was fossicking alone, when he lost his footing and fell into a deep abandoned mineshaft, some 22 metres (7.5 stories) deep in the earth. No one knew where he was and it took more than 24 hours for the alarm to be called that he was missing.
