Stefan verzet zich tegen elke vorm van uitsluiting op grond van bijvoorbeeld (medische) labels en is daarom voorzitter geworden van de League. Hij wil een rolmodel zijn voor andere mensen met een label en dan in het bijzonder voor hen met het label autisme. Nadat hij een promotieonderzoek had afgerond, had hij moeite een baan te vinden op zijn eigen niveau en de neiging om zijn ambities naar beneden bij te stellen. Dat doet hij nu niet meer.
