#81 - Transformation Testimonies: Kirby Johnson

from The Addiction Connection Podcast · host theaddictionconnection

Guest in the studio, Kirby Johnson, joins Mark Shaw on today’s podcast! In episode #56, Kirby tells us a little bit of his story. But in this episode, Kirby expounds even more about how God has worked through his life. Kirby was an addict and now is a redeemed follower of Jesus. The Lord used a biblical residential program in Washington as the main area of growth in his life—not just allowing him to “recover” but to be transformed from the inside out. Today, he is a Commissioned Addictions Biblical Counselor with TAC. He also serves in a variety of ways in his church, in small groups for those caught in addiction, and counsels others regularly. Counseling is his biggest passion – he desires to share with others the same hope that he has found in Christ! Kirby’s life verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21 which says: For our sake he made him be sin who knew no sin so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
