#82 How I Healed My Body Image

from The Inner Know · host Janelle Bridge

I'm a millennial, which means I grew up with magazine headlines in my face saying "Lindsay Fatter than ever" "Britneys cellulite on show at the beach!" "The best and worst beach bodies" These came complete with zoomed in images of tiny dimples on stunning womens thighs. Which I now know to be totally normal! No one batted an eyelid. It wasn't considered mean, or harmful. It was a time where the ideal body was dubbed "Heroin Chic Thin" meaning looked malnourished and like you were addicted to drugs was the fashion!I read articles in world wide big magazines that told me how to curb my hunger with water! As a result I always thought I took up too much space. I'm a big presence energetically, and I guess I always knew that without knowing why. But more than than, my body felt too big. I look  back now and realise I was tiny. But in my minds eye I was not. I look back over the photos of my with my children as babies, where I felt like I needed to hide my "new changed body" as it was damaged. I was tiny, perfect, beautiful. But I didnt feel it. The journey to healing my body image has been a long one. In this episode I talk about how I learnt to love my body as she is, and turn up to naked women circles, nudie swims. Faciltating events in my bathers etc from never not wearing a tshirt and shorts in the water. Send us Fan MailSupport the showGrab a copy of Janelle's Book here: https://square.link/u/LEKtNUYewww.janellebridge.comReach out on InstaInsta >https://www.instagram.com/thisisjanellebridgeemail Janelle: [email protected] by Janelle Bridge — an Australian Psychic Medium, Intuitive Healer, and Soul Alignment Coach.
