82: Stop Doing Weird Potty Training Things
from The Oh Crap! Potty Training Podcast Hosted by Jamie Glowacki
In this episode, I dive into some of the pitfalls parents often encounter when potty training, especially when they follow advice from sources that might not be as credible as they seem. I talk about why relying solely on your pediatrician for potty training guidance might not be the best move—they simply don’t have the time or specialization needed to tackle this milestone effectively. I also address the issue of pseudonym authors in the potty training world, stressing the importance of checking credentials and trusting advice from those with real, hands-on experience. I caution against those quick-fix, three-day potty training methods that can set you and your child up for failure. With nearly 15 years of experience and almost a million copies of my book out there, I’m here to help you navigate this process with patience, consistency, and credible, tailored advice.
