83. Awakening Aphrodite, Archetypes and Activism With Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen, Author Of Goddesses In Everywoman and The Millionth Circle

Greetings and welcome back to Awakening Aphrodite! I am beyond excited to share this week’s guest with you and our powerful discussion on goddess archetypes, self-knowledge, mythology’s relevance in the modern world and so much more. My amazing guest, Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen, is a Jungian analyst, an M.D., a clinical professor of psychiatry, an activist, a diplomat of the American Board of Psychology and Neurology, an NGO permanent representative to the United Nations’ Commission on the status of women, and, among other wonderful things, a prolific author. You may recognize her for her most famous book, Goddesses In Everywoman, a world-famous classic on women’s psychology that uses seven goddess archetypes as a way of describing personalities, behaviors and the true self. I have all of her books and I am just so thrilled to have this wise and accomplished being on my show. You can look forward to a wide range of topics in this special episode! Our conversation begins with the recent Chinese New Year of the Water Tiger and the optimism it symbolizes as we simultaneously transition from the patriarchal Piscean Age into the egalitarian Age of Aquarius.
