As he approached, he witnessed a one month old child shot in the face. Without hesitation he began emergency services on her while ambulances came to the scene. This intervention saved her life--they contiue to have a relationship today-- and changed Sutton's entire life mission from this point forward. He shares his own experience of police brutality, metal health issues and physical injuries sustained on duty that were not acknowledged by his department which led him to found The Wounded Blue.
