83: Spotlight on Clients, The Meyburghs

from Dorothy and the Dealer Podcast · host Dorothy and the Dealer Podcast

Could you imagine living apart from your partner and family for an ENTIRE year? Well, that’s what life has been like for the Meyburghs, with the married couple and their two kids split between south-west WA and South Africa. On this week’s eye-opening episode of Dorothy and the Dealer, Mitch and Mills chat to beloved MJB clients, Michele and Alan, about when they first started down the personal development path and how they have handled a tough 2020 on different continents. Having had their eyes opened to their own prejudices and perceptions, Michele and Alan really got to put what they learned in our MJB seminars to the test though, when this year lockdown’s and coronavirus sent their world into chaos. Michele and the kids had flown out to South Africa at the beginning of the year, while Alan was working on a commissioned art installation. But just a few weeks before he was due to fly out to see them the borders were closed, flights were cancelled, and lockdowns put in place.  Although the initial days were HARD on everyone, the couple learned not only how to survive but THRIVE during this absence.  They discovered how to: - Enhance every moment of their lives, even the unpleasant ones. - Be present and enjoy what you are doing now. - Shift their mindset instead of trying to “fix things”. - Be selfish enough to take care of themselves, so they can take care of others. You really have to hear this incredibly resilient couple’s story for yourself!
