Top takeaways: Ask yourself, “What am I trying to accomplish in this meeting?” and gather the bare minimum possible. The more information you ask for, the longer it will take them to schedule a first meeting. Think carefully about what you want to ask in person (and respond to the gut reaction) versus asking ahead of time and getting a more measured, reflective answer. The more of your work that can happen during the meeting, the more you preserve your time–try to enter data directly into software.
