#853 - Let the Countdown begin!

We’re back with Episode 853 as we get ready for the official start of Duke Basketball with Countdown to Craziness! Countdown always marks the official start of the preseason, and Donald and Jason couldn’t be more excited for all the festivities. Of course, it all begins on Friday with the annual Dribble for Victory over Cancer! We are partnering with August, a young cancer survivor who has formed a team to unite all DBR Podcast listeners. Please follow this link and make a donation as we try to get August over his goal: https://charity.pledgeit.org/PCRF-DukeDribble/teams/@DBRPodcastFriends. We also discuss what we want to see at Countdown, whether it’s the dunk contest, the matchups, or the competition. Both the men’s and women’s teams are going to put on a show, and we can’t wait. We also got #AnotherOne! Luke Paul commits to Duke during our recording, so we discuss what the 6’6” Aussie will bring to Durham next year. He has a lot of potential and we’re thrilled to have him come in to compete with the rest of the point guards. We end our show by discussing where Duke Football ranks among P4 teams in the number of homegrown players taking snaps as well as the future of the show and our new destination.
